Minecraft the ominous trial key is a new item that can be
used to unlock the ominous Vault. The ominous Vault will have unique loot items
like the flow armor trim smithing template, the ominous bottle level 3 to 5,
the flow Banner pattern, and the heavy core.
The heavy core can be crafted with the breeze Rod to get a mace. The mace is a weapon that will accumulate damage from the player falling.
The ominous trial isn't in the game yet, but if you turn on the 1.21 update in
the experiments when starting a new world, it will appear.

To get the ominous trial key, you will need to start
an ominous trial. For this, you will need the ominous bottles. One change in
the 1.21 update is that when you kill a raid Captain, they don’t give you the
Bad Omen effect automatically.
Instead, they drop an ominous bottle that, when you
drink it, will give you the Bad Omen effect. The raid captains will be holding
ominous banners, and they are found in Pillager patrols, Pillager Outposts, and
the Woodland Mansion. The ominous bottle will have a level between 1 to 5 and a
duration of 100 minutes.
Finding the Trial Chamber
After you've got the ominous bottle, you'll have to find
a trial chamber. The trial chamber is found between -20 to -4 underground in
the Overworld. The structure will be composed of tuff and copper blocks. A
trial chamber map can be bought from a cartographer villager that
leads you to the trial chamber.

What triggers the ominous trial is when you get the Bad Omen effect within 14 blocks of a trial spawner. You'll have to have a line of sight, or you have to be able to see the trial spawner.
This will start an ominous trial. The ominous trial will last for 15 minutes, and the level will be the same as the Bad Omen effect.
The level of the ominous trial will increase the difficulty, which increases the armor that the mobs will be wearing. Also, the ominous trial will summon projectiles and lingering potions over the players and mobs.

Trial Spawners and Their Mechanics

The ominous trial will transform the trial spawners into ominous trial spawners. This will despawn any current mobs and activate the trial spawners if they are in cooldown.
It is only activated from cooldown if
it was a trial spawner before. Trial spawners will have a 2-second interval in
which they can spawn mobs. There are simultaneous mobs, which is the number of
mobs that can be alive from a spawner at once.
The simultaneous mobs are one for the breeze, two for the baby zombies, and three for other mobs. This is increased by 0.5 with each additional player for the breeze and baby zombies, and one for every other mob.
The total mobs is the number of mobs that can be
spawned from a trial spawner. The total mobs for the breeze is two, and all
other mobs are six. For every extra player, that is one for the breeze and two
for other mobs.
Obtaining the Ominous Trial Key
Once all the total mobs have been defeated from the
ominous trial spawner, it will start to eject loot items. There is a 30% chance
for an ominous trial spawner to eject an ominous trial key.
The key will be used to unlock the ominous Vault. The ominous Vault will have red candles, red glazed terracotta, and tuff blocks around it.
There will be turquoise coloring on the side instead of copper that is on the Vault. The location of the ominous
Vault will be in the trial chamber, and it can be in difficult spots.
